Having bother changing gear. Mainly 3rd. Takes two good punts to get in and out of. The rest feel quite stiff to change. Clutchless upshifts seem fine 3rd-4th-5th. Possibility of the clutch dragging?

Change the gearbox oil (genuine HD oil) and check the tension on the primary chain. All should be well after that.

Was a new primary cover gasket installed lately? I've seen both my bike and two others having had no more axial play in shifter shaft after doing so. Apparently there's a lot of gaskets around which is thinner than before.

It was actually, it had the primary cover replaced.

I'll have a look at the tension and investigate the dimensions of the newer gasket.

x5 or so......

Why would you want to do clutchless changes on a Buell? Quickest way to kill a gearbox on Buell I think.......expensive experiment....
