I have been quoted £217.00 to replace this battery. I have spoken to Maz and he thinks it's the upgrade kit they have quoted me for. From the pics ( not great I know) can someone inform me if the the upgade is required. Thanx
If so a better price than Harley's
If not then a better price than Harleys.

Cheers s1nner,
Why would they quote £217.00 for a standard battery then?
Do they really cost that much?
Does anyone know of a cheaper place to get one?

I bought one of these Varta batteries; YTX14BS from Barden in Fareham Hants (will do mail order)
As stated before yours has the updated battery tray for vertical mounted battery.

http://www.barden-ukshop.com/sealed-liquifix-148-c.asp

Looks to be £48....these days. Had no probs at all.Good company to deal with. If get one mail order ask for catalogue too, V interesting stuff in it about various battery systems etc.

That bike already has the kit fitted.
The battery you need is 65948-00A and it costs 88.30 incl. vat

Maz,
Harley have that number on the system but without the 'A' on the end.
Is the battery the same? They are quoting £98.00 inc vat.
:( Rear wheel bearings £86.00 + vat.

Out of interest, does anyone know the part number of the battery tray upgrade kit?
Not the battery itself, just the tray.
