It's been bugging me recently as to why I could not get my free spirits tensioner to move down.
I looped some cord through the pully and using my foot could not get it to travel down.
I thought it was seized and so took it off.
It was not seized, the rose joint was bottomed out and so was not releasing any tension.
I have now removed 1/4" of thread and now can depress the top side of the belt and get movement on the tensioner pully.
I was wondering what with Pash having trouble with his output shaft why the free spirits thing had not prevented his problem.
Have any of you noticed this too?

Nate.

Lost count of the number of times I've posted about this.....even had a massive arguement with Trojan who said I was talking bollox

Free Spirits also said I was talking bollox but I notice that all the new tensioners coming through now, have shorter threads on the adjusters

No, I cut 5mm off the thread at the time too. Coil binds now rather than the rose joint touching the mounting plate...
