XB12s starts ok but when its hot the tickover wanders from 1050 up to 2000 it will even increase in neutral with the throttle shut. When the engine is off the throttle snaps shut every time so its not a sticking or kinked throttle cable. Don't suggest emcspy cos i'm not putting my laptop anywhere near my bike i may as well order the skip now if these two ever meet in my hands

It wont do any harm (as long as it is done correctly).

If you still have the problem, back the throttle stop screw out a tad till it ticks over correctly.

Where do you live? There will be loads of people eager to help you...

You could try the square idle trick also. A lot of people reported smother idle after doing so.

Idle is in closed loop, so whatever value you enter, the mixture will be somehow stoichiometric, but the important thing is, that fuel doesn't change with fluctuating engine speed.
