 Post subject: XB12X Engine Surging

I'm experiencing problems with engine surging on my standard (apart from K&N air filter) 2006 Ulysses (6700 miles), when riding at between 2000 and 3000 rpm, some days worse than others. I had the throttle position sensor calibrated at approximately 6000 miles, which improved it for one day, then it was back to surging. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry I can't help with your problem, but noticed that you can't be far away from Maz's Emporium. Think it would be worth your while to have a ride over and to meet him. Very knowledgeable chappie he is too. :D

This is a well popular observation:

I believe it is Buell running the front cylinder too lean at motorway throttle/rpms to cash in on mpg. I think some engines are on the edge of smooth running and the slightly colder weather tips it over the edge.
