My M2 seems to run better accelerating than holding a constant throttle :?
I went for a slightly longer run on sunday  and it just felt rough holding a constant throttle about 4K revs but wind it on and it feels a whole lot better.
From low revs it feels sweet and feels well rorty but now seems to gasp a bit in the middle if not pulling hard on the throttle.

It runs 42 mikuni Buell race pipe oval k&N carbon filter, race ignition
I think it needs a good service by :maz: but i think i will have to sell a kidney on Ebay first

It may be running slightly lean on a constant throttle, and when you crack open the throttle, the?? (I can't remember what it's called- but it's the one you see squirting fuel into the venturi on opening the throttle) is alleviating your problems. you could try lifting the main jet a notch. Also make sure you have the right needle in-some Mikunis have different needles as standard-all depends where you got it from. If you are in the South, Mayors Motorcycles are very good at seeting carbs up on their rolling road, they have an exhaust gas analyzer which makes sure its bob on.

There's also Moore Speed Racing down South, but I have no idea whether they have an exhaust gas analyzer.....Tubbs will be able to answer that.

30 - Unless you're talking ºF in which case running about seems fine - 30 is what it was here yesterday by 9AM.

this section is moderated as we like to keep this purely for technical questions and resolutions so that other folk can also read easily to find solutions etc ... to do this we keep spam and unrelated chatter to a minimum, pop over to the social section for a good natter, or Buell Chat to talk about the bikes in general!

Thanks folks, happy riding!

Well bit the bullet and had it dynoed today and it was waaay to rich everywhere apart from when it was on the main jet at full throttle and gave out 88.56 at 6372.8rpm and 78.95 ft/lb at 4217.6rpm.

The bloke said this was pretty good but i needed to run a leaner needle because anything below the main jet was mega rich :?
Any thoughts :4roz:

Look to see what setting your needle is on, if you cannot lower it (IIRC raising richens lowering leans) Get a leaner needle :!:
