So I’m trying to do a TPS reset and this program is giving my nothing but grief! I’ve download all the drivers and everything I need. First few times it connected and then 2-3 secs later it “timed out” now it won’t even connect?? It just says “timed out waiting for ECM response: are both ignition and kill switch set to on?” I’ve tried unplugging everything and plugging it back in, uninstalled and reinstalled ECMSpy but nothing. Same thing every time now. Any ideas??

Is your cable still recognised by the PC? Does it appear in Device Manager? Is the COM port number consistent with the one you are trying to connect through with ECMSpy? Can you try a different USB port? Can you try a different cable? Can you try a different PC?
