Hi New to the Buell scene have mostly been on hayabusa's in the past,
i have recently purchased an 1125R which has been modified a bit,
Termignoni exhaust, buelltooth and remarkably radiators swapped sides with buell fairing lowers and pods removed. Very nicely done but a bit strange.
my question after reading quite a few previous threads on here from Pash and Jazz is
my AFV seems to be reading 88.3F and 83.2R with TPD of 2, bue2d firmware,
set to closed loop. bike seems to run ok though a bit soft below 3000 rpm,
just wondered if i should just use droid to just change the values back up to 100 and 105,
i have reset tps a couple of times but seems to stay at 2, butterflys seem to shut and open fully.
i know prob not just a matter of magically changing one thing but at a bit of a loss which way to go at mo.
any help much appreciated.
i have also tried to find a map to use but as previous owner bought the bueltooth i dont have
details correct for them to send a map (poss hmf) or if anyone has one they would like to share. :)

Nice bike Oldzed.

Nice to see yet another 1125r owner turn up on the forum.

Bit of a change after your Busa's heh heh.

My advice is speak to Pash, I got a peach of an ECM from his gracious hands, although Gunter is also linked to the ECM tuning software I believe.

There's always someone on here who will help you out with most stuff.

Madhouse at times though.

By the way I've spent months trying to get mine running correctly at low revs, mine is also very tame below 3-4 thousand, it has to be this way I'm afraid. AFV's need to be nearer 100 +5 -5 as you said.

How's the Termignoni exhaust?

Hi Ta for replying,
with a bit of luck, pash may pop a comment on,
not being very tech minded on the closed loop systems,
just wasn't sure whether to just change the AFV or whether something else needed checking first,
also whether the ecm automatically adjusts the AFV when it checks o2 values,
termi is a lovely exhaust but just doesn't feel mapped correctly at mo.

The AFVs should automatically adjust via the oxygen sensors in the headers, (thanks Maz) mine corrected themselves after I fitted the Remus Exhaust with my standard ECM.
I think Pash set the AFV values at 100 f & R on the ECM I got from him & they haven't changed even after removing the Ram air system. That suits me fine.
The tuning system for the ECM's on these Buells is nothing like any other I've come across & you can't just stick another tune on them, mostly it's addressing bytes within the system. Does my head in hence my contacting Pash for help.
I'm just trying to catch up with the tune that's on it now and getting there, just trying to adjust the power band but as you've probably read I would rather address the fueling & exhaust than tackle the ECM to get it right.
Where are you based? Might be a good idea to fill in the front page on your reg so people near you can help out, or go for rides if that's what you're into. There certainly aren't many Buells around my way & people at laybys & cafe's stops etc don't seem to like them much despite them being really excellently engineered bikes. I'm not sure that even Harley engined Buellers like the 1125r much.
I think it was Nutah that told me Buells are the bastard ginger son of Harley & I think that's probably about right.

Hi Paul,
i will have a quick look at changing the AFV to 100,
then give it a run and see how she goes,
might try switching on the logging and see if megalog view will give me a better idea,
fairly used to mapping the busa drag bike,
but in some ways i prefer to put my own settings in rather than having the ecm decide
for me, but need a good base map for that, do you think front and back afvs should be the same,
ie 100 on both or poss 105 front, 100 back.
i think your right about harley and jap riders disliking them,
but always good to be different.
do you think Pash may be interested in mapping my ecm for a fee

Hi Chris,

My standard ECM re-adjusted itself to 100f 105r after fitting the Remus exhaust. I think the rear cylinder runs hotter.
The ECM I currently use courtesy of Pash runs 100f 100r & this seems fine on mine.
I would contact pash directly (PM so he gets it) & just ask him about your ECM, he lent me a couple to try which was exactly what I needed as they all seem to run differently on different bikes. Kiwi tried the one I currently use and it didn't do anything for his but it runs mine with overheads, hence me trying to move the power band and use the headroom.
I've got a spare ECM that Pash re-mapped and upgraded to Bue2d from Beuzd so he has the capability to re-write the firmware as well as re-map.
As was done for me via the great members of this forum, you're welcome to see if that ECM runs any better than yours, it's Beu2d firmware that Pash put on for me, it was previously beuzd.

Thanks for the feedback,
hopefully i should be receiving 3 maps from the previous owner today,
so i will load each one give it a ride and have a look if AFV changes with new map,
i'll let you know,
hoping that my o2 sensors are all ok as the AFV at mo seems a bit low for just an
end can change, the target afv is set low to 88 and 83 so this may change in the new map.
if not i may well add in the 100,100,
thanks for the offer of a remapped ecm,if ok i will certainly give you a pm if i dont get anywhere with mine.
very friendly site much better than the 200mph site i used to go on.

i was trying to go through tunerpro but struggling a bit getting
the xbr files into the software, i may have to stump for a few quid to buy the ecmspy software,
previous owner didn't manage to send over the maps and is now away for a week,
so all on hold a bit unless i can talk someone into sending me the hmf exhaust map
over, do you think if i pm'd pash he may have a copy i can burn to my ecm.

Thanks Paul,
still wondering whether i should change the afv setting in the ecm to 105 and 100,
instead of 88 and 83, seems too low and wanted to take bike out this weekend,
read somewhere that below 100 is weak and above is rich,
dont like the idea of running too weak.
if anyone could advise be great.

Hi Kiwi,
i reserve judgement on the maps from previous owner,
it would be usefull to have a stock map and a hmf map to compare to,
if anyone has one they can send me be great
then when i get the new maps sorted and checked i can share on here.

Not long after I converted my 1125R to a track bike, I bought a EBR ecm (with engine braking taken out) and it runs a treat lOl
