I tried for hours to make ecmspy run with wine - no success yet. Main problem is to talk to the serial device, in this case the ttyUSBx device, which apparently is not supported in wine, only "real" serial devices seem to work.

Well, fortunately there is a pre-pre-alpha version of ecmspy for mono available, special brew for MY demands and sized to fit a 7" netbook display, which will run with the horny hedgehog ubuntu or whatever it's named and above. Requirements kernel 2.6.24, mono 2, Csharp 2. All requirements maybe installable via synaptic too, but I don't know for sure.

This is definitely work in progress, but if you want to give it a try, drop me a mail.
