PostPosted: 27 Feb 2018 10:46
hi folks, not been on here for many a moon but i am putting my m2 back on the road, when i went to replace the fork oil i noticed that the tube spacer (item 4 in the manual) that should sit on top of the spring is missing?? (the original owner had the forks rebuilt by the some tuning shop down south years ago) could anyone please give me the dimensions of this so i can get a pair made up in work.
thanks in advance

out of curiosity has it been placed under the spring?
Also if they worked before why alter them, and is it a longer non-standard spring.

If it aint broken why fix it!

hi nigelbread, no they are not under the spring, don,t know if the spring is longer than std only that it has 09(or 60?) laser etched on the upper face, when the spring is fitted there is a 25mm+ gap before the washer and locating cup, forks worked ok previously just noticed they were missing when i opened them up??
