Daft question to some, but would an XR1200 front end fit an X1? They have a twin disc set up standard and USD showa as standard!

You probably will have to have a custom steering pin made to suit the frame head tube length and bearing size and then there's mounting the clocks if your using the XR yokes and you'd better check the overall fork length. You wouldn't want it looking like an X1 chopper :hehe: . But if they're a similar length it wouldn't take that much money or work to fit them.

If it's just for a double disc conversion price up a pair of EBC prolite discs from ebc. The left one is sometimes a little harder to get and you have to wait until they do a batch. Then price up a pair of Buell fitment Pretech 6 pot calipers. You already have the fork lugs and wheel drilled to accept these. And with twin 340 mm discs and twin 6 pot calipers you'll have more stopping power than you'll ever really need
