Pushed the M2 out of the garage yesterday to go for a run. Ignition switched on fine and pressed the starter button. It gave a brief grunt as it started to spin the engine then stopped. At this point all lights and everything electrical are off. I assumed it must be the main circuit breaker either tripped or failed but checked it today and continuity is good as well as getting 12 volts either side of it to earth. All other fuses are healthy too. Checked the voltage to the starter as well and that is good. I'm now assuming there must be a broken wire to the ignition switch itself.
Any other suggestions are welcomed.
I did have a run out on the ST3 which is nice but much quieter.........

As above -
check for voltage drop when operating lights or starter motor.
may have 12v but no current, bad connection or battery dying, cold weather syndrome!

Looks like you're bang on Maz. Took the battery off charge and it dropped to 10 volts! I'll try another one layer today. I should have known as had similar before. Thanks for the advice ☺
