I have decided to update my S1 and was wondering which length shockabsorber I should be looking for , I've seen 14 and 14.5 inch ones offered. Any idea which is suitable, or are both, do i need to change any of the linkages as again these seem to come in different sizes? Any help appreciated, or indeed anyone have one for sale.

I'm guessing the ones advertised at 14" and 14.5" are actually both the short shock, I think the long one is more like 16" If you go original you need the short shock but aftermarket come in both lengths. I have a long AST on the S1 and a short AST on the X1 obviously with the corresponding front mounts. The front mount for the long shock is virtually straight and the mount for the short angles back at the bottom to move the mount nearer the swingarm.
