Hi all. I disappeared while the storms/floods were happening on my shores so am starting to get back into somewhat of a social life and put things back to what they should be.

Anyway, The X1 is clogged up with that damn ethanol gummy gunk from sitting for months. Don't have any resources for getting the injectors cleaned out, etc. Trying to get the bike cleaned up and running again.

It's my understanding that the X1 injectors are a Renault/Peugeot/Citroën sourced bit. 3 brands that have not been on US shores since the early 80s.

Is there truth to the source? If so, I don't have any way to buy parts from those manufacturers. Can anyone help?

Still don't know what else I need to do to the bike yet. But the list has been long.

Yes we have. I had water over my axles so I have quite a bit of restoring to do. I have new wheel bearings in the freezer and new clutch discs and cable on the way. Will split the cases soon as water found it's way in through the tranny vent. Finding little things as I go. Didn't realize how much water an X1 swingarm can hold too...

Could've been worse. I've had a few friends lose their houses completely.

Wonder if Maz wants to visit Texas for a working vacation. ;) It's no longer 40 C here anymore. Down to 30C.

Would love to 8-) .....swingarms should have a drain hole drilled in the bottom of the shock mount

Only works as designed if it isn't clogged up.
