That's not cheap, I suppose they are produced in small volumes so cost will be higher. Are the standard headers on the X1 so bad that you will see dramatic changes in power? This time next week I will be the proud owner of a 2002 X1, and being new to Buell's I'm presuming that apart from being ceramic coated my header pipes are factory standard but ( don't know if this is a good thing or not ) it's fitted with a Wileyco silencer??

2002 X1s are the best...

It's just a shame the previous owner of mine wanted a black engine like a 1999/2000/2001 model and hence painted it with a roller...

Cheap as chips for what you get.

I'm hoping so, Maz's recommendation was to buy a 2001 bike but seeing as it was registered in May 2002 could it have actually rolled off the production line in 2001?

If all goes to plan then this time next week I'll have chance to find out for myself.

I have to admit though I would love a 2000 red racing stripe x1, they look hard as nails!

.....but would cost circa 2K to bring up to the same spec as a 2001.....and that's just the stuff that is up-gradeable !

I am only basing that on looks, was anything changed 2001 to 2002?
