Ok folks what weight springs are you all using on your tuber rear shocks? my S1 suspension is way too hard and as well as the damping being too much as pointed out by Pash I feel the rear spring is way too heavy as well. Mine is an 80kg which i'm sure is probably heavier than the one on muffin which i ride two up nearly all the time. Last time i got weighed at work i was about 88kg in my work gear so anybody about that weight who thinks their suspension is good have a gander at the spring for me ;)

Have you looked at Muffin's spring yet?

the spring doesn't control how hard the shock is, just the ride hight. The damping controls how hard it is .The latest damping /valving is much better.

High speed damping is still far too harsh for me. The Showa is plusher.

Yes I will agree with that. It was a bad day when the showa shock failed on mine.Mind you changing the oil and settings on the front fork has made a big difference to the ride . I think the forks were too harsh and were making the rear feel bad!!!!

The Showa was always under sprung for me, the M2 never coped 2 up - suspicion bottoming out.

I have a 90 spring, not been happy with the AST since I've had it.
Recent re-shim has made a massive difference but it's still not right. Seriously thinking about going back to standard. Biggest waste of money I've been advised spend!
