Post subject:  Hello! Nice and easy question

Hello one and all, I have a 2003 xb9r motor that I have used for a hard tail custom build. I started the build 8 years ago and now 3 kids later I am nearly there. I have converted from the fuell injections to a cv carb and it runs really well. So if anyone is doing anything similar and I can help let me no. I am a self taught, learn as I go sort so no expert.

The question I have is I am changing my front cylinder gasket s and have a packet of 4 o rings all the same size. I no they are for the two dowels on top of the cylinder but don't understand why there are 4. The manual diagram does not show where the remaining two are for. It does state dowel washer times 4 on the label for the diagram. So could someone please clarify it is only one for each dowel and no where else requires any. Apart from the larger 2 used for push rod cover that is.

Thanks

They are for the other cylinder but you should be using later gaskets that dont require them at all :)

You should be using the later steel base gasket too.
