Try not to feel too jealous but I have won a free track day at Rockingham. I have decided to take the Buell. Only problem is the forks were serviced by a "friend" and they simply don't work properly. When I stripped them they are put together different one side to the other.Does any one have a parts drawing or photo of the correct layout( shims nuts etc)? |

I've emailed you a parts book. How much did your mate strip them down? Could it be he didn't get the needles the same and hence the brass screws look to be way different? |

I was storing the bike at his gaff as I didn't have room in my garage ( 14 bikes and counting). I think it had been stood too long and the seals started to leak. He thought he would do me a favour and replace them for me. That would have been nice of him but when I started riding it again it felt awful. I couldn't adjust it to suit. I didn't know what he had done. Turns out he had used 15w fork oil. I use fully synth 5w. he'd also decided I needed to use a small air gap (90mm) as apparently I'm fast......... Serviced to suit me and my forks work again. |
