Well had the head set and wheels bearings removed yesterday and they are knackered, the head set bearings have lots of play in them and the wheel bearings not so much.

Hi All,
Had the bearings fitted and plan to pop out tonight and see how it feels.
The mechanic said the old bearing had lateral movement and and the inner race twisted.
When he opened the new bearings they still had a small amount of play but not lateral movement.
Is this right ???.
The wheel bearings where shot, small amount of play but very notchy.
