Probably been asked already but .... I have an 03 XB9S. After changing standard exhausts for years because they kept rotting out I bought an APH stainless exhaust.
I also fitted a K&N air filter as is was only slightly more expensive than a standard filter.
The bike now runs slightly differently as I expected as there is obviously more air in and less back pressure.
I need to rev harder for the same performance and I get quite a lot of popping when I let the throttle off.
I don't mind too much I just don't want to damage the engine.
I was wondering how I could get the engine management system re-set to accommodate the changes. The local HD dealership has sold all its Buell software and can't do it and the only other option offered was a power commander at around £600. I live in Southampton can anybody point me in the right direction ?

You will probably not like what I am going to tell you: chances are that, regardless how much effort you will put into get a new map (a weekend app.), you will never get the same power as with the stock muffler. Sounds like shit, but offers best performance.

If you are still using the stock inner airbox cover, get a perforated one, as sold 2006 and later. This will help more than a K&N.
