Ahhhhh. So, finally got the swing arm brace off today!! Also got the sprocket off and all but one bolt from the rear brake disc. The one last bolt has a rounded head and I can't shift it.

I'm not sure if the bicarb / vinegar done the trick or not. A friend was helping me and we used a hydraulic jack to lift the right hand side of the bike up and relieve the weight off the right side of the swing arm. The top bolts came out easy and then the bottom loosened up. So I'm not sure if the weight was nipping it all together.

After removing the brace there was lots of gunk and what seemed to be oxidation inside the thread.

Got the front wheel and disc off with very little effort in comparison to the rear!

Going to get the wheels refurbished and painted. I think the wheel refurbers will be able to remove the last bolt for me.

One half of the front forks have fallen off the axle stand at the front. Had to place two jacks under the bike to keep it stable. This bike is fighting me every step of the way!!! It's only adding to its character!

One last question. When I'm placing it all back together what is the best anti-seize product to use with the bolts?
I have some copper grease left over from when I replaced the brakes on my car.

Again, thanks for all the advice.

Cheers,

Ted

The original Copaslip made by Molyslip, doesn't dry out like the others / copies. That goo sounds about right after you applied your potion. Glad its in bits for you.
