Well, I can't see any fraying or cracks.

It looks 'dry'. Sounds stupid, but not a sort of rubber gloss finish.

Dry is normal. I had one that was dry and cracked on the outside (but it'd done about 15,000 miles in the Qatar desert), so I replaced it before anything happened. Wouldn't harm you to get hold of a new belt as a spare. Easier to get a better deal when it's not an emergency lOl

Where's the best/cheapest place to get one?

We used to have a Buell Dealer in Preston, but now it only does Harleys, I think.
