Last April, in pouring rain my 06 Ully went on what appeared to be one cylinder, but it would tick over fine. I traced the problem to the coil hanging by one very loose bolt and HT leads nearly pulled out.Two very sooty plugs.
The bike has ran fine since that incident. Years ago I fitted a K+N air filter and a full Micron system and had a TPS reset done. This winter I decided to install two tiny baffles into the Micron where the headers meet the silencer (race can) The bike fires up, idles smoothly but splutters when I rev it up.
I installed two new spark plugs (H-D) the old ones were quite dark but not too sooty. The coil is mounted firmly and the HT leads properly seated.
In the spring when its back on the road I will get it to my mechanic for a full ECM spy check and a TPS reset. Will that cure the problem or should I remove the baffles?

Check the HT leads again/ do a TPS reset / check the ECM for damage caused by the seat / ride it to let the ECM "learn" any minor changes to the fuelling , OR just take it to Maz ;)

Front HT lead shows signs of chaffing just about breaking through the insulation. I swapped it over for a spare one I had in the garage and hey presto a clean revving engine. Question, do I buy Buell replacements, are there Screaming Eagle replacements or is there an alternative?
Thanks again Pash and Kevmean for pointing me in the right direction. Re shipping it to England, Im not made of money LOL

Maz likes Buell ones however I have used Magnecor. Interestingly, Magnecors come with some spiral wrap on the front lead for protection.

I would probably stick with Buell ones bought from Riders of Bristol and would put some spiral wrap on myself.

If Willy had made that comment i would have been expecting the naked spiral wrapped photos to have been publicly posted by now ;)
