 Post subject: No help from H-D.

G`day , anybody have any idea why my X1 is chucking shitloads of oil out of rear pot breather when I gun it over the downs ? Also , why the fuel tank breather hose gurgles for some time after same ? Front pot ok .In the vernacular "doin` my nut in ". Cheers.

If you can get your hands on one i'd do a compression test to begin with, and see if there is any difference between F & R pots

Knackered rings......or broken oil ring on offending cylinder? :? At least that was the culprit on an old C90 we took apart years ago.

Yeah, on second thoughts l guess it would blow out everywhere if an oil ring had gone awol. :coat: would like to know more about the subject.

It's too late. On the strength of all the good advice here the OP has stripped the engine right down to the crank cases...
