With the alloy oil tanks for the s1 or m2 there was a issue with the back tire rubbing the tank when riding with two up.
Was a easy fix with a ball-peen hammer ,maybe it works to for making wiring room on the x1 oil tank!?

already happened :yup: lOl

but the issue with the X1 is that there's no room between the tank and the circuit breaker above. It should be ridesigned.

So what's the problem then? redesign one for your bike!
Get some clean alloy plate and make a start with cutting and bending and have it welded by someone that does serious work!

Was a easy fix with a pre-load spanner...
Fixed that for ya.

I was considering a Metmachex tank as my next purchase, but after seeing that picture, I agree with Maz, it just looks all wrong.
I do like the look of that Orange bike though, (apart from the lack of mudguard and a few other bits) I considered buying it a while back, when it came up for sale on Badweb. I'm happy with War Horse now though :)
Maybe when my shed's done, I'll have a go at designing a nice oil tank myself.

Never mind the oil tank (it is nice) tell me about the front wheel with two rim mounted discs.

I've had the oil tank on my X1 for about ten years with no hassle, just stick some plumber's heat proof mat between the breaker and the tank, sorted.
