Current ride: Buell M2 Cyclone
After having spent the summer riding round on my 2001 M2 Cyclone, my thoughts have turned to what needs doing this winter.
I've fitted Maz's gearbox shaft nipple mod, and now have Andys (Spondon) front isolator bracket to fit.

Can anyone tell me what other essential mods I should be planning?

Thanks

Confirm the oil pump drive gear is still OK.

What about the oil hoses? They're 15 years old - change them just in case?

I`ve had the one from pump to filter go, PO clamped the shock reservoir to it.

Changing the oil pump drive gear looks pretty straight-forward, anything to watch out for?

Yeah, dont bend ya valves !
Whilst changing the gear, cut the camcase down and re-route new oil lines 'up and over'......you'll see why we do this if you check the OEM lines where they appear at the rear of the primary case, they'll be well chaffed !

Lots. I'm sure there's a 'How to' on here somewhere, but some important points are
-correct tool to hold the crank pinion (on the cam side),
-putting the cams back correctly (!) and
-allowing the lifters time to bleed down on reassembly.
Someone with more time and better knowledge than me will be along shortly!

 ...and thus another Buell will be irreversible mutilated and look like road kill with its guts hanging out (it's not the only way to stop the oil lines chafing (one f) btw)

What's the alternative way of stopping the oil hoses chafing?

Re-routing the lines also makes changing the belt much easier too.
