This might have been done before on here, but this is how I did it this evening.
First, I followed a guide on you tube which involved swapping two wires and left me with a single dip and the sidelight for high beam. No good.
A quick skeg of the wiring diagrams in the manual told me all I needed to know.
First locate the plug for the left hand handlebar switch cluster and undo the clip.
Using a piece of stiff wire, I used welding wire but a staple or paperclip would work; short out the wires in positions 1 and 2 - a yellow and a blue wire. A bit fiddly but a piece of wire will push down the back of the terminals in the housing. (click the thumbnails to make them bigger)
I made an open loop of wire like a tall narrow staple with approx 7mm long legs
Fold the terminal lock back in place and ensure the wire loop is covered.
Now to test, a single beam on dip and both lamps illuminated on main beam
Jobs a goodun!
