I have just bought a Dakota speedo corrector. Before I go off pulling bits off my bike unnecessarily can someone point me to where I can find the speedo sensor connector on an 01 M2? Ta.

Its over the output shaft, the three pin Deutsch is under the battery...

If you are going FULL US gearing, why not fit a US speedo?

Thanks Pash :yup:

The bike has had US gearing since I got it and I've been meaning to do something about the wildly inaccurate speedo...... I looked into a new speedo but the Dakota was a bit cheaper and, as I have both sets of pulleys, I plumped for the Dakota as it gives me the option of calibrating for ½ US as well should I decide to experiment.

Make sure you pick the correct three pin, as there are two, one from the CPS the other from the speedo... Think the speedo one is grey, you can follow the wires or wait for someone to correct me...

Fitted without too much trouble. Calibration is simple enough but awkward as the unit needs to be receiving a speed signal while adjusting......so it was a case of a GPS speedo on my phone slipped into the clear pocket of my bike jacket then fiddle with the up and down buttons as you ride checking both speedos......First piccie shows it lashed up for calibration and then tidied up and strapped in place.
