A lot of discussion on Trials Forums where people want to run modern tubeless sticky tyres on classic rims. Sometimes you get lucky and it works, sometimes it doesn't. I could never get an adequate seal, although there are companies in the UK that will do the conversion for you. I think the Central Wheel Co have stopped doing it now.

Also be careful that your rims inner profile is suitable for tubeless tyres , they don't keep air in very well if the bead slips off the rim, I know Ronnies GN125 which has cast wheels still runs tubed tyres apparently due to rim profile.

I will give Central Wheels a call to ask about their experiences with them. They still have them on their price list so may be an option if I decide to go that way.

I do hope not at over £2K, but they would definitely be a permanent fix at that money.

I had a chat with a chap at Central Wheels today and he confirmed that the kit works OK if fitted correctly to a scrupulously clean wheel. And they have them in stock.

I figure that I will it a go over winter at some point.....has to be worth a punt at <5% off the cost of the Kineo ones
