Hi all.

I'm planning on stripping my 2003 XB9S down this winter and sorting all the niggly cosmetics which have weathered over the years.

My bike has no significant service history but it's only done 14K so I figured whipping it to someone who can give it a full service while it's out makes sense.

I know nothing about these engines, so I wondered if you lovely lot could recommend, firstly what work you consider would need doing, and if there's anyone in the north-west of England who does this other than a Harley dealer?

Thanks in advance

As far as I'm aware, Manchester is in the North West of England (down South to us proper Northerners). There is a small independent Buell specialist there, who goes by the name of Maz. His business goes by the name of 'The Emporium'. There is an open day at the Emporium this Saturday - see the thread for details. Meet some other Buell owners and have a chat with Maz about what needs done and when is best to book it in. You will learn a lot. Bring a sense of humour. :yup:

I did a Maz-type 10k service on my Uly and the difference was staggering in ride. Maz does a lot more than a HD dealer and charges half the price for labour. Money well spent...

He'll also give you guidance on keeping it running sweet with the must-have mods and things to watch.
