Hey every one, finally got stuck in tonight , just wondering what your thoughts are of this drive gear. Not sure if it's worth changing? Looks ok to me , 25,000 miles , 99 x1 . Front cylinder had be off so not sure has it been done before.

Does it look worn? I don't really know ? Thought edges were supposed to get thin ? Or just change for piece of mind?

Follow the thickness along the helix and take into consideration that the hardness of the part does not necessarily remain constant through the thickness of the 'tooth'...

If he's out of them, I'm sure someone else on here could send you the ornamental one on top of their mantle.
