going to fit a high flow filter...does anyone recommend drilling the airbox...if so where abouts and how many holes.....cheers potts

you dont need to get an 07 airbox, your 09 is the same. just get the filter, either K&N or Pipercross

i have a 07 bolt with a k&n and drilled holes in the front of the airbox through the mesh - I find i to rev abit better

and do ''ac delco'' - do a airfilter for a buell ???

also a stock filter new and clean flows better than a k&n until used.

where, what size and how many holes do I nee to drill in my 04 XB12s air box. Any good links to pictures out there.

I read about drilling these holes before I fitted my K&N, but thought this would only let air out of the airbox, the later bikes have a different intake system to mine (I think). please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :D

anyone got a pic of the '07 airbox? am curious to see what difference in holes there is compared to '06
no worries found some;

apparently a funnel at the front as well but cant find a pic of that .
