I have finally given up on my Quill exhaust. After four broken brackets (all replaced free of charge), a dented can (again replaced free of charge) and now the fkin thing vibrating loose and damaging an oil line...I have now decided enough is enough. Goodwill only goes so far. Yes, whenever I have gone back to the factory their after sales service has been great - but the bloody thing shouldn't break in the first place!!!

So I'm after a replacement. Jardine? Stage one? which is the best value aftermarket exhaust? I'm not after going megga fast, I have a Honda SP1 trackday bike for silly riding. I just want one that will not snap, break, twist or fall off...and sounds good.

I'll soon be booking the XB12s into the emporium for a 10,000 service so it can get fitted properly by the man himself. Oh and if anyone can supply the part number for the braded oil line - the one on the left hand side of the three pipes (nearside) I'd be much obliged.

Mark...now relegated to using the trike full time until the oil line is fixed.

Does it screw into the top or the bottom of the oil pump? Does it go skywards?

I am guessing top of the pump, therefore it is the oil return line, HS0023.1AD.

At 70 notes plus VAT, you may want to PM Woz to see if he has one...

It's the one that has two friends - they go from the bottom of the swingarm (oil reservoir/swingarm) to the right hand side (offside) of the engine. The one that is damaged is the first of the three...the one nearest the gearchange lever.

Sorry but I'm not the most technical person...hope the above makes sense.

Mark

Quill and Jardine are pants.
I will let you into a little secet here, Maz just loves the blinging Stealth. I would be greatful if you could take a couple of pictures of the look on his face when you hand it over to him to fit. :D
