...or a twin tec.... and plenty of dyno time if you want to get the engine set up correctly....although more power is probably better obtained by riding your Buell to the Yamaha showroom and begging a salescreature to take it in part chop....
yes it will cost less.

Sorry (he lied) but that is bollocks. Most any new sports 600 will make 30% more power than a Buell with half the engine size.

All of which is not just bollocks but it is irrelevant bollocks as the original assertion, which I was refuting, was...

Haven't we been here before? IIRC even my knackered old BMW Whale makes more torque over a broader rev range than a Buell.......and a real motorcycle (plenty out there but Ducati springs to mind) makes plenty plenty more for twice the duration of a Buell.....

My S1 Lightning Strike which I bought in 1998 made 90.3 RWHP according to DG20's dyno. I wish I had the graphs still but owner No 2 didn't pass them on to the current owner. It was bog stock apart from a race module and a Buell pro race exhaust. According to Chris Beresford at the shop it was just a good'un. Now owned by Dave Scott who keeps threatening to chop it, fer christ sake!
