Anyone tell me the difference between the stock and race ignition modules for an S1?

What are the rev limiters set at for each?

Cheers

Nick

I'll swap you a catch can for your race ignition...

I'm running the race ECM, together with the full Buell race kit (headers, can, muffler and air filter) and the standard CV carb (albeit with a Dynojet Thunderslide kit installed) and mine makes 87.1 RWHP and 78ft/lbs of torque.
At the last DG20 Dyno day, admittedly some time ago now, this was more than any other Buell, other than G2's 1250cc Fubar (101 RWHP :worthy: ). Most were making around 72/75RWHP.
Peak power was made at close to 6800rpm, so the extra 500rpm afforded by the race ECM definitely helps.

one of mine made 120 rwhp and 200 rwhp with 3stg gas and could rev to 9.500rpm, its that type of tune when you need a hi4 or such as you can dial it all in.

80 odd dyno runs with and without gas before motor strip (to only replace rings) and then 40 passes.

...or a twin tec.... and plenty of dyno time if you want to get the engine set up correctly....although more power is probably better obtained by riding your Buell to the Yamaha showroom and begging a salescreature to take it in part chop....
