You could use it as an excuse for a Saturday morning ride. 8-)

Bear in mind the muffler is hanging off the manifold - not a good idea me thinks.

Aye, fair point, I don't know where that bolt sits or what it does, although there's probably some irony in that it came from the bit of the bike which is in your avatar.

I'd suggest using some fields as an avatar next time, just in case you jinxed it.

Maybe some sort of make-good to get you the 30 miles, then find the long way home. 8-)

If the dealer will offer warranty repair, then take it. It's a good opportunity to get them to check over every other fastening whilst it's on the ramp.
30 miles with that bolt missing should not present a risk.
I routinely travel 150 miles (in each direction) to my dealer.
You are very fortunate to have a friendly dealer so close to you.

I'll second that. If that bolt came undone what else is not torqued up correctly. If it were me I'd make a temporary repair and then get the bike to the dealership and suggest they check everything, preferably with you watching. If they don't do that and ask you to leave the bike then when I got the bike back I'd go round every fastening with a torque wrench or at least put a spanner/screw driver/torx driver onto the relevent bolts.

Thirty miles to your dealer: LUXURY! :old: I have to start at the cobbled end of the A 64 and ...

Well nearly that part - a bit further forward ! :)

If the avatar is a jinx I might just end up in a field - think I'll stick with the one I've got !
