Anyone know the reasoning for the changes in injectors on early 1125s.

My new/old motors have come with 4hole tiipped injectors where as my 09 bike has 2 hole, so obviously a change in spray pattern. But why necessary?

Have part no's but as yet have not been able to obtain flow rating for them,so want to send some off to be checked.

But did they change the flow rate or just the spray pattern? really don't want to be pulling ones out of my bike....that's why I've been waiting for these ones to turn up.

I'm going to be running an E85/unleaded blend this season and will need more fuel flow so possibly bigger injectors required.

many thanks.

ps Pash the questions are gonna start again soon...time to play with monospy :4roz:

IIRC it was to give a wider/better spray pattern for the fuel, to try to address some of the perceived fueling issues of the 08 models.

I seem to recall that Avalaugh changed the injectors on his 08 model to later ones, so it may be worth PMing him about it - he may have more info.

And it may be worth asking this question on BadWeatherBikers - there are more 1125s in the States, and a bit more knowledge ...

Straight swap out, according to EBR no mapping changes required, but Dris (TM) uses a slightly different map on his product depending on injectors ?

I've just fitted mine and with the EBR ECM have had no issues.

I think the flow rate is the same.

I seem to remember something about the 2 hole style ones spraying onto the back of the valves, 4 hole ones helped get around this problem !

Cheers Paul, that info suggests my bike an 09 on 58 plate has the early injectors as they are 2 hole and the motors from ebr have later ones fitted.

I've got part no's of 108169-4 hole and 109996 2 hole fitted in my bike.

Makes life easier if they flow the same though :yup:

Might even be worth fitting a pair of the new ones to the bike.
