On the last message board someone posted a list of tools required to fettle a Buell. I'm looking at CJ on this one, as he is a fan of all things list like. I have been back to look and couldn't find the post.

Failing that: has anybody got a list of tools that I need to keep the X1 in one piece?

Hello...been a long time since i've posted and feels even longer from when i sold my bike.

CJ did indeed post a list of torques....i did a short list of essential tools needed for the job but I don't know where it has now gone.

I'm sure someone will post some info later however the main tools you need is a AF (American Fine) set of sockets & bits (Teng tools do a set covering all the sizes for £40) + a good ratchet + possibly 2 torque wrenches one from 10nm-40nm and another from 40nm-100nm.

I've always known it as that as well. However, I believe the other definition is also correct :?

American fine describes a thread pitch, AF in relation to tools is indeed 'across flats' and is normally applied to imperial stuff, although a 13mm spanner could accurately be described as 13mm AF, as in across flats.

I did try that before I posted. It's a day or two since I posted but it seemed that my search terms either generated zero responses or hundreds. I did wade through the list generated in response to the word 'tools' but couldn't find what I was looking for. That's when I thought I'd use some of the smarter computers (you lot) to speed up my search of the TOM (aka computer aka Totally Obedient Moron).
