Can anybody out there tell me if a stealth systems exhaust will pass an MOT when fitted to my xb9sx. I love the look and sound of this pipe. i just dont want the hassle of changing the exhaust when i need an MOT.

The answer is: it depends. If the Stealth can has 'Not for road use' or something similar on it then it won't get an MoT unless the tester doesn't see the words. If it doesn't then it is at the discression of the MoT tester. Usually there will be somewhere that will turn a deaf ear to loud pipes as long as they are not conpletely offensive.

yes it will. it dont say nothing on it but it all depends on the testers descression if he is a :tosser: then he might say its to loud but there is no noise test at the moment but it will come

I will have same issue Losttyke come next January.

I would say ask your local Harley riders what to do. Most of the Hogs that meet around here make my Stealth kitted XB9SX sound quiet.

I have a Stealth on mine, and it is road legal. Kevmean's bike is louder than mine and he manages to get an MOT - probably knows the chaps niece. ;)

Unless the chap's neice is an MoT tester I suspect that is likely to reduce the chance of Kevmean getting his bike an MoT!

I rang Stealth Engineering as I was interested in this can. He told me that there won't be any problems with MOTs. I've listened to a stealth and they are not loud either but they sound nice! :yup:

But don't take my word for it ring them

Well they would say that, wouldn't they? The decision to issue a ticket doesn't belong to them, it's up to the tester as the legislation stands today. If he doesn't like, you don't pass.

Paul1433 has a Stealth fitted. All I can say is it sounded louder than any other Stealth I've heard, and made my Remus on race baffles sound lame :?
