Couple of weeks ago I ordered a tail lamp bracket and a sidestand for an S1.
Tail lamp bracket was back ordered as it was coming from the USA, 3-4 weeks delivery.
The sidestand was in stock at the EDC and would take 5-7 days.
When the stand didn't turn up, I decided to chase the order......
......geezer at the EDC has the stand in his hand but cant dispatch it because H-D have told him to skip it, along with the rest of the 'obsolete' Buell stock :x :headbang:

If you're reading this A.B.......why cant this 'obsolete' stock be purchased by groups such as UKBEG ??

Not much hope for maintaining our clutches then Maz? Mines still ok had a serious thrash this morning with two Jap bikes and got home safely. Outrageous was when we stopped for breakfast and a local pulled up on his SYM and pulled a live chicken out of his underseat storage. Excellant ride!

There were reports of issues with the clucktch (egg) basket too.

I'm wondering if this is the first time that some bird has got off the back of a bike and the onlookers have pondered over the question of whether they'd prefer breast or leg.

So, here we are, March 2011.........virtually every single part requested goes straight onto back order and lead times are getting stupid, as are prices.....£66.20 for an XB clutch cable
.....even engine oil is now on back order until the end of April :headbang:

Just in case AB decides to respond with his usual corporate bullshit (yes Allan, I've seen the email re. parts supply hold-ups  ) I think his time would be better spent looking for another job  ......H-D are in very deep shit IMO !

Sounds like it is time to go the Venhill route for clutch cables then.

Venhill wont make these cables.....been there, done that.......however, the likes of Barnett etc. do and cost only 18 quid ........no doubt they are from the very same manufactures that H-D buy from :)

picked up my new pillion seat cover for my cr from plymouth hd last week. ordered it in september. no fault of the parts guy at plymouth, he has been constantly phoning hd about mine and other parts. at least he cares

if it had been something stopping me from riding the i might have asked for my money back
