I made this today for a mate of mine that is making Honda CR750 replica's, I'll post a link to his web page at the end, they actually look like a lot of fun.

Wow... Never ceases to amaze me what can be done with these machines, the limit appears to be your imagination...

Just imagine a few years from now, when 3D printers start spewing out metal molecules................

Nice job Andy. :worthy:

I'm boring everyone again, got some proper good stuff in at the moment including parts of a Monaco GP winning car

Machining these parts at the moment, they are off a top end specialist sports car, can you tell what it is yet? there are two.

Give you an idea of the size the machine table is 1000mm x 500mm and that ball nose cutter is 20mm diam.

I think they are rears but yea, they will look awesome done but they are easier to do than a set of yokes.

Why did I say front? It's obvious they are rears cos there is no kingpin.

They look pretty cool. How long does it take from billet to finished product? Did you do the design or did the customer bring you a model file?

This stuff fascinates me, I do need to come visit your works one day...

He brought a model, they all do, the only thing on here we modelled was the yoke for the CR750's, I usually only draw in 2d.
Not sure how long they will take, if we were doing more we would just be able to throw them straight on the machine and then it would probably be finished in about 6 hours, there isn't a lot of these left when they are finished.

Andy

And as you know, your always welcome

Those rear uprights are lurvley! I´d like to see the car they´re going on.

I´ve had my man working on a drum parking brake within the disc bell set up for my Seven.
nearly there, just the cable retainers to sort, and fiddle about with the design of the actuator arm.
The shoes are from a Vespa scooter :)
