I'm on the lookout for a second hand Vanco linisher. It's the one with the vertical 1" belt. I had one before, an excellent tool for removing metal.
The one we have at work is no better than a toy. :(

I fitted a new drive belt to the linisher and it now has a bit more oomph, so I finished off the radii on my hand change lever.
Image
I used the bung that I made to get a decent radius at the operating end.
Then I used a file to radius the edges of the lever to soften the look of it a bit.

All I need to do now, is drill, tap and helicoil the clamp hole, drill and tap the end and file the square mounting hole, then polish it.

Click the thumbnail if you want to see what I did to it tonight. I'm sure that I'm boring some people to death with this thread.

All I need to do now is file the 1/2" square hole to match the lever shaft.
6 hours invested in this to date.

Got no worries about letting Beef loose on it, when it's on the road, the seat spring has got an 850lb rating. lOl lOl

Thanks for the comments.
The curves were done by eye in the end, as was the spacing between the holes, so as to get a relative spacing with decreasing diameters.
I've got to call in to the scrapyard on Monday to get a lump of brass to make the knob with.
