I quite fancied one of those but when I talked to the importer/Dealer he didn't know the answer to basic questions I asked about the bike  so I bought a Duc instead ;)

Peut-être si vous avez demandé l'importateur dans la bonne langue qu'il aurait pu être capable de vous en dire plus.

On the other hand, if he was English, you still wouldn't have got the info.

I started working on the bike today.

Image
I removed the tank, seat, oil tank and rear brake as well as the footrests and primary drive. I was thwarted finally, as I can't find my sprocket puller, otherwise it would have been completely apart.

Instead, I got the Solvo out and gave the chaincase a tickle, just to see if it would come up OK.

............After.

I'll take it to work and put a mop in the lathe to do it properly.

Do people still get frames Stove Enamelled, or is Powder Coating the way forward?

We have them powder coated, any colour, 24 hour turn round, £40.

whats the frame Mick ? bolt-on hardtail ? or original trumpet ?

Original rigid two piece with all the original lugs intact. It bolts together at the seat post and bottom of the front downtube. I'll post some more pics when it's apart.
I do like the look of the stretched bolt on hardtails, as they give more legroom and a nicer stance, but I can't bring myself to bastardise this frame.
This bike never had rear suspension, as it pre-dates the sprung hub models.

As a girlfriend once told me, "If it ain't rigid, it ain't worth a fuck." ;)
