Hello new to Buells i don't own one yet :o , i'm looking for a Uly or an XB i'm 5'9" on a good day  been riding 30 years :old: on the road all year. I ride a CCM604e Sport a BMW650 CS belt drive (commuting) BSA 250 Starfire these are what i'm riding at the moment and selling to buy the Buell. It will do a little commuting but mainly be riden irresponsibly :headbang: i like the short look of the bike with the number plate carrier removed.I have owned a BMW R80 GS Paris Dakar with a 44Litre tank (10 gallons) so weight will not be an issue. I maintain my own bikes  but cannot clean them to save my life,my idea of cleaning is an oily rag wiped over the crappy bits. What i would like is suggestions on which is best to buy and any modifications recall work etc. I would be greatful for your thoughts :worthy: on the matter and i wont hold you responsable for the lemon i end up buying thanks Peter :yup:

Have you considered an X1? They are very good all rounders. I like Ullys but haven't owned one. My choice would be a sorted S1....but I'm biased lOl lOl Good luck.

Oh and be prepared to have to work your way through 10000 shite replies before getting to helpful stuff-its how we roll

Welcome!

Been riding only three years and I recently got an XB9SX ('08), it is my 5th 'big' bike.
It's perfect in the city (where I do most of my riding) and I'd describe the riding position and handling like a cross between a Hornet and a KTM 640 based moto (have had both), although it balances better than either.

Used it to commute this summer, but now have no job, so it buzzes up and down the A3 & A219 - A406 etc occasionally ATM.

Top end speed is lacking :( , but I'm not a very fast rider yet anyway.

With an aftermarket can (by the one and only Albert666 on here) it sounds like a real motorbike - proper 'cager worrier'! :yup:

Ride them all.
I have and the XB12STT does it for me.
We are all different with all sorts of peculiar needs and responses to input.

Get out and do it. :yup:

And welcome.

I have a Ulysses. Reckon it's better than the KTM950 I used to have. More low down grunt (06 model) more comfortable and way more economical. Simpler too. Aim to get more miles on my Ulysses than the 95000 on my GS1100 which is on ebay right now and is only being sold due to emigration to Lagos...Portugal that is not Nigeria.

If it says "Buell" on the tank, and it floats your boat, that'll be the one :yup:
