I know that many of you will think this a stupid question but I am not to clued up on the ins and outs of engine performance and tuning. I have seen for sale generic pipes and cant help but think that if these exist then why cant I put an XB12 zorst on my 1125? What would be the negative effects? After all, doesnt the ECU just learn and compensate for the change in exhaust flow? I am not too fussed about increasing performance as the bike already has more than enough for me but I would really like to improve the sound, but there really isnt much in the way of good underslung exhausts for this bike; and what there is seems incredibly expensive.

Has anyone tried putting an aftermarket XB exhaust on an 1125? What were the results?

Cheers,
Ben

Generic pipes are shit.

The ECU doesn't have an infinite range of adjustment.

The XB exhaust won't easily fit under an 1125.

Speak to tubbs.

Actually I wont leave this to Maz, ffs think it through before you type it will ya!!!!!

I used to have a girlfriend that asked dumb questions eg. "what's that island over there?" I reply "that's the isle of wight" she then asks "can we drive there?"

after a while she realised I was gonna take the piss everytime she said something stupid she used to stop mid convo like this "I was thinking....... hang on *huge pause* doesn't matter".

if it was as simple as putting a XB pipe on a 1125 don't you think there would be a shed load of threads telling you how to do it? what works best? Pash's how to section?

I welcome egg on my face on this topic

Might just be a coincidence, JBR, but whilst you reckon your tolerance gets shorter by the day, I'm starting to warm to you!

Although I can't help but feel that the first 4 words in that sentence are very telling.
