It has been brought to my attention that an ebay seller by the name of Bassy is advertising a couple of cut down camcases, he claims that the version he's selling done by me is unprofessional and will trash the bushes !....but he still wants 250 for it lOl
What he fails to understand is that crankcases and the camcase are line bored and reamed at the factory as an assembly and fitting a none matched camcase is the best wat to prematurely wear bushes.
I have cut down 100's of gear case covers over my 23 year history and have had zero issues with any of them. I have subsequently opened up motors with 10's of thousands of miles on them running my cut downs and the bushes have been mint.
First one I ever did was my own S1W and before I did it I contacted Erik Buell, who assured me it wasn't a problem as all the factory race bikes were done in this way.
If Bassy is reading this, I'd like to know what evidence he has to make libellous
statements on social media regarding the ''unprofessional'' way I cut these cases ?

At least eBay make it easy to report the item - whether they take any action we'll soon see.

Yes, I've also had the misfortune to encounter him recently.
I think he used to be on here at one time too, way back.
