I know its been done may times but everything i read seems very speculative, I put HID's in last year and kept the lights as standard, one for main and one for full and it worked well, so well in fact that i never used the main beam as it was so bright, however it was obviously a little annoying to oncoming traffic so i removed it late last year and went back to H7's all be it the brightest ones i could get.

After going out the other night for the first time this year down some dark country lanes i could see squat either on full or main beam and need to get the lights sorted.

What is the best method of imprroving them? bulbs, reflectors HID, LED etc etc. I have seen a company called Red Fox that do a replacement lense that uses an H4 and both lights on all the time but still uses the stock body which sounds perfect but cant see anyone ever having used it etc.

At the moment im thinking of just putting the HID back in but only on the main beam!

Good luck with the upgrade. You got the details from me via FB. Yes, not many have taken the plunge to my knowledge other than myself and Pash when company name was Simpson Detour.

Drop Alan (Albert 666) a pm to enquire who he used to source Shelley's led conversion on her XB and what was entailed doing the job. He's done a good job as it looks like a factory conversion.
