I have painted the standard silencer on mu Uly several times, it doesn't last long. Is there any paint that will?

Alternatively is there a replacement silencer that will take lifting with a jack? Don't really want to lose that.

I downloaded this template and had some chippies make them up, fitted to a base unit they lift a ULY no problem. [if it helps]

I had mine powder coated by an industrial powder coater near me. It seems a lot tougher than the powder coating that
Triple s do. I first stripped all the original coating and rust off. I thought this would take about an hour with various rotary wire wheels and a flapper disc. It took three hours till I was finally happy with it. I've since sat in traffic for ages ticking over with no air flow round it and also give a good ragging for a good 25 miles. High revs good airflow. I'm happy with the results

Very smart

I see many modern bikes are coming round to underslung silencers.

Also I should imagine that Buells handle better with original silencer, the extra weight makes the mass centralisation lower and middler.

Picked this belly pan up stateside and now added to my bike after a service, ideal for lifting up on for some jobs, not to everyone's taste but I like it.

Hi Churchill,
It's definitely bomb proofed your silencer & I really like the fact you can lift on it. I'd be tempted to spray it silver & put some wire grill on the holes but that's just my preference. Looks fine once you get used to it I think. Is it alloy?
Nice one Paul.
