Uly out 1125 in. Not sure how it all works but I'd be pretty sure the Uly creates less pollution than the 1125..65mpg vs 40mpg ish. Silly bureaucrats

Could always swap plates I suppose...What could go wrong lOl

Just checked the number of my old 06 model which I wrote off and that doesn't show as being ok :( Nor does my 08 Transit

I've been absent a while. Back on board again. Looks like my Pensioners Rail Pass and Bus Pass are going to get used a lot more.

Both my Ulys show ok Maz ones on a 57 plate the other 08 plate . So looks like it must be a date in probably 2007 that they are using as the Ulys are both DDFI 2

Kiwi, did you check with HD UK what the emission level is? If it's below NOx 0.15g/km you can apply to TfL for exemption. I've got my 2002 scooter exempt by doing that and providing evidence.

Looking at a California emission certification it looks like 2006 Ulys were 0.14 g/km so maybe there is hope.

Contact for HD UK is 0333 355 6800 - have the VIN number to hand and they can get a check to see if the bike will be compliant before you have to spend money on a Cert of Conformity

California spec machines would be much lower emissions. H-D make one specification machine for "the 51 states" and another for California. Certainly now and (I'm fairly sure) in 2006 California spec machines come fitted with a bloody great catalytic converter as well as other tree hugging mods

I phoned HD UK & they told me they can only check if not more than 10 years old? so am a little confused here also how/where did you get the emission test ? or was it all on your VIN?

Theres an error in my above post sorry about that ...

The incorrect info is that you cannot go back more than 10 years see answer below with link but HD UK cannot check your VIN i asked.

Certificate of Conformity (for motorcycles originally built to European specifications and from model year 2004 onwards).

FROM Harley-Davidson UK Customer Support

Hi David,

Further to our conversation just now, please find the following information.

H-D owned Buell until 2009. For owners of Buell motorcycles, up until this date, our dealer network are able to help with service and maintenance requirements. Our authorised H-D dealers can provide CoC/SoC for Buell motocycles (fee applies), this is because the engines are H-D.

Here is the link to the webpage we discussed:

https://www.harley-davidson.com/gb/en/o ... pping.html

Kind regards,
Customer Support Agent

Hope this helps

I have ordered myself a COC even though the build date on the bike is late 06 will see what we see when it come in even if it fails it will be good to know the info.[/quote]

ok post deleted as requested
