He lurks on here, or did. Prefer his other bike for sale. S3T could do with a better shock. Nice bikes.

Looks like the S1W might have been sold as it's now dissappeared from his listing 8-)

Well it is a '99 model because it has the black engine and chunky swinging arm of the X1. This makes it a US import (there were only two imported by H-D UK and neither was green). This means it will also be fuel injected (98 models had carbs). It is fitted with Performance Machine wheels which was an option in the US, the fairing leg shields are missing and the panniers are fitted with the bigger capacity touring lids.

Spook is a decent bloke, we go back a long way and I bought my S2T from him.

A better shock would be nice but that's the same as the one I have on my S2T. The original Showa with a shock reinforcement package which would have been fitted as a recall.

That's a rare bike and would make a good tourer :yup:

Looks like a 2000 to me. Later front disc - but then the shifter and front exhaust mount have been updated to 2001 spec so I guess the disk could have been too.
Very nice bike - particularly if the race ECM is fitted too. Not pretty but very useable. The pictures don't do it any favours.

Are not all Buells appreciating classics?

Is this worth £4000 pounds, or to put it another way can you get one cheaper?
discuss!

You can buy cheaper (quite a bit) but at this age you are buying on condition as much as anything else.
What are your intentions?
keep/make her standard and run as a classic (How OEM is it? how OEM do you want to be?)
project bike for mad stuff (No point paying for a good paint job if your going to change it, etc)
Just to use and enjoy (if all the needed upgrades have taken place, it might be worth the money, if not then its not).
Let your plans and finances lead the way.

I was very young then HONEST!
